President; Founder

Dr. Gonzalez is an orthopedic surgeon, former Florida State Representative, and attorney. A graduate of the University of Miami School of Medicine and Stetson University College of Law, he served as a flight surgeon in the United States Navy. He is in private practice in Venice, Florida with privileges at Venice Regional Bayfront Health, Englewood Community Hospital, and Doctors Hospital of Sarasota. At Venice Regional, he served as Chief of Surgery, Chief of Staff, and the Board of Trustees, among other positions, and chaired the Physician Ad Hoc COVID-19 Committee.

He has authored numerous books, including Coronalessons, The Case For Free Market Healthcare; The Federalist Pages: A Constitutional Path to Restoring America’s Greatness Dictionary of Orthopaedic Terminology; and Health Care Reform: The Truth.

Vice President

Dr. Patete is an otolaryngologist practicing in Venice, Florida. He is the Immediate Past President of the Florida Medical Association and former President of the Florida Medical Political Action Committee. Dr. Patete graduated from the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University in 1988 and is affiliated with Venice Regional Bayfront Health and Sarasota Memorial Health Care System. He completed his fellowship in head and neck surgery at Jackson Memorial Hospital in 1994. Dr. Patete has over thirty years of experience.

Board Member at Large

Dr. Andrew Borom is an Orthopedic Surgeon practicing in Tallahassee, Florida, since 2002. He is the Chair of the Florida Orthopaedic Political Action Committee and has been a long-time member of the Florida Orthopaedic Society's Executive Committee. Dr. Borom graduated from the University of Virginia School of Medicine in 1994 and completed a fellowship in Ankle & Foot Surgery at the University of Texas in 2000. He is affiliated with medical facilities at Capital Regional Medical Center and Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare.Deription goes here

Secretary and Board Member at Large

Rod Thomson is the Founder and President of The Thomson Group, a communications and public relations firm based in Florida. He is a former, award-winning newspaper reporter and editor working for publications in Michigan, Minnesota, Iowa, and Florida. He has been published nationally in the New York Times, Newsmax Magazine, People Magazine, National Review, American Greatness, Focus on the Family, and many others. He is the author of multiple books on Christian history and was a daily radio host on the Salem Radio Network.
